What do you mean by plucking?
Angora Rabbits have a natural molt that occurs every 3 - 4 months. When the rabbit begins to molt, you can pluck the fiber by gently pulling it out with your fingers. It takes about 2 hours to pluck a rabbit, but the time spent is well worth it.
Is the rabbit killed for the fiber?
No. Fiber is usually harvested by shearing or plucking the hair from the rabbit. Angora rabbits yield fiber 3 - 4 times a year.
